It makes sense that the person whose personal style we stalk all day on Instagram would be an executive producer on a style competition, right? Enter Rihanna, who is building her presence in the fashion world. Her second line for River Island is on the way, and now she has an official air date for her fashion reality show competition, Styled to Rock. The Style Network announced yesterday that the show, executive produced by the singer, will debut Nov. 5 at 8 p.m.
The show will have 12 designers from around the country competing against one another to design for big names in the entertainment business. Along the way, the contestants will be mentored by Pharrell Williams, model Erin Wasson and Rihanna’s stylist, Mel Ottenberg.

If you're wondering how this show differs from other fashion competitions, here's Styled to Rock's surprising twist: Midway through each design challenge, mentors will evaluate all 12 designers and decide if their work is good enough for the celebrity guest. If it's not, the work won't be presented and those designers who don't make it past this point could be eliminated. Intense.

The winner will score $100,000 in cash, a chance to become a part of Rihanna's design team and a fashion feature in Glamour! Obviously, we're beyond excited to watch the first episode on Nov. 5.
