Should babies be wearing perfume?

Well just in case you know one who doesn't, Dolce & Gabbana comes to the rescue. The fashion label has announced the launch of its own line of perfume created specifically for babies, piggy-backing off that sweet smell of the infant that is some sort of magical combination of baby powder and innocence.

According to the Daily Mail, Stefano Gabbana says the new perfume is inspired by the smell of a baby and is “designed to cuddle and pamper every little boy and girl.”

But D&G isn’t the first company to bottle the sweet smell of babies—other high-end labels, including Burberry and Bvlgari, have also come up with their own scent for infants.

I am so sensitive to chemical odors that I stay home most of the time.  Now you want to put chemical fragrance on babies.  WHY? In school I had a headache whenever I went to English Class.  Now I realize it was the teachers perfume.  I could smell it in the hall long after she had walked through that area.  I feel it is not necessary to perfume a baby and could be dangerous.  Please DON'T do this!

The people who buy this crap are the same people who voted in our current President....they both agree on spending money endlessly on stupid things!  How about putting that money into your kids college fund!!

Ok what next a animal perfume?  Oh yea they already did it.  So how about a insect perfume, then....    Come on people, why would you want to subject you baby to unwanted stench, that would probably come bach years down the line as some sort of allergy, or worse.  Wake up people, we don't need another crappie thing that is not needed...

I have always understood that the thousands of chemicals in fragrances were extremely unhealthy for babies and young children.  Being a sufferer of multiple chemical sensitivities, I think this idea of babies wearing fragrances is rather drastic. We can't seem to go anywhere but we're bombarded by perfume.

are they crazy - any parent that buys that for their child is not a very good parent.  Adults have a hard time with perfumes and you will torture your child with that.  It is disgusting

I've smelled babies.  They don't always smell nice.

11 style rules to break right now

You already know wearing white after Labor Day is cool. But menswear is reinventing itself rapidly, leaving some long-held mandates by the wayside, not to mention a bunch of men with a lot of questions. Sure, some style laws are truly inviolable. Showing a quarter-inch of cuff will always be crucial, but with designers and dandies flaunting so many former taboos it's hard to tell what's in play these days.
