Kate Middleton’s fashionable maternity style

The mother-to-be showed off her maternity style in a chic cape.

© TOPSTAR PicturesThe Duchess of Cambridge has repeatedly proved that she is no snob when it comes to shopping (she is always spotted at her favorite stores Zara and Reiss, among others), and when it comes to her maternity wear, Middleton continues to keep it real!

More from Living: Quick! How’s my outfit?

The mother-to-be showed off a chic printed Zara cape while shopping in West London on Wednesday, which she paired with black leggings a black scarf and riding boots.

And Zara isn’t the only retailer that she is gracing with her presence while she’s expecting. Just last week, she was also seen inside a London Gap store looking for leggings. We can’t wait to see what other adorable ensembles she puts together as her baby bump continues to grow.

Kate's great but your copywriter should know that the plaid is NOT a "print" but a woven pattern.

I am hoping that the trend of super-tight, stretch maternity clothes (and short halter tops and bikinis) will end soon. Nothing like a pregnant woman walking toward you and the first thing you notice is her inside-out navel, highlighted by her skin-tight shirt or dress.

Kate is proving that she is a beautiful and tactful lady!! She should be a wonderful example for all women who are pregnant.  The clothes that are worn by most today are decusting and so ugly,  It is  like someone who is trying to strangle herself and her baby,  Ladies take heed and watch the Duchess as she grows and glows till delivery!  It should be quite educaional to all!!!!

notice she's not wearing tight over tummy. We used to wear smocks to hide our tumys

She is just so classy!! Pregnant or not. Her outfit in this photo is adorable I think that its wonderful that maternity clothing is so much better than in my day we wore tents lol! I love that instead of hiding baby we just embrace it!

I agree with everyone Kate is a beautiful woman, and I am sure that she will set the trend on how to dress when you are expecting. There are young women out here who dress as though they are trying to get a date (if you know what I mean).People can see that you are expecting, so DRESS TO IMPRESS!!!!!!!

Really, iis it necessary to put "In the Oven"   or " Peas in a Pod"- I feel it is disrespecful to the mother, and it is not cute.

I am a mother of 3, and I did not feel anything but proud  !  I do think the Duchess will be  a good example of what

motherhood is all about.

I quizzed Shopbop’s fashion director, Elle Strauss, for help with getting the best strategy in place. Herewith, the 10 pieces she suggests picking up now (plus chic ideas for how to start incorporating them into your current closet).
