Trend for dudes: Man polish?

Nail polish for guys.

Welcome the concept of man polish, nail polish for dudes. Gone are the days of your man (or man friend) stealing your Essie. Instead, they now have their very own line of guy polish to dazzle their digits.

More from The Men's Department:  Save face: No knife required

According to NYC Prowler, company Alpha Male is selling the polish in "masculine" colors with names like "Burnin' Rubber" and "Benjamins," with a total of 10 manly colors. "Alpha Nail focuses on keeping men's nails strong while maintaining an alpha male swagger," says the Alpha Male web site, which claims their polish to be the "first brand of strengthening nail polish designed for men, and worn by warriors."

So far, it’s been quite the popular item, too — it’s already gotten the attention of celebs including Zac Efron, Cash Warren and Seal, all who’ve been seen sporting it around town.

A lot of these comments are very homophobic and insulting. If you don't like it don't wear it. Dave Navarro wears it and he is dating playmates and some of the UFC fighters wear it. Roger Huerta is an investor I believe. I am not  with the skinny jean fad or the bedazzled jeans either but hey thats fashion I guess. And those who keep the stickers on their hat to advertise how big their cranium is makes me laugh just the same but hey thats what they wanna do. QUIT judging. There are metro males and men who are in the x games who like spandex jeans. The flock of seagulls hair is dumb also right? whatever let them channel their inner 80's haircut. These are all fads so let this man capitalize on a trend and stop hating. Quit sounding like you belong to Westboro Baptist. Live and let live fools.

and also to add, if they have a brain and can think for themselves, they shouldn't let themselves be influenced so easily to be "effeminate".

not like as if guys haven't work nail polish before. I don't get it, why make such a fuss on people's personal quirks?

Nail polish for men? Maybe mini decals of motorcycles or airplanes. And what about diaper bags? They should be camoflage or rough cut metal studded bomber bags! Even womens purses can have a rough masculine theme so if a guy has to carry the dumb thing for his lovely lady, it can be cool...

11 style rules to break right now

You already know wearing white after Labor Day is cool. But menswear is reinventing itself rapidly, leaving some long-held mandates by the wayside, not to mention a bunch of men with a lot of questions. Sure, some style laws are truly inviolable. Showing a quarter-inch of cuff will always be crucial, but with designers and dandies flaunting so many former taboos it's hard to tell what's in play these days. So we thought we'd take this opportunity to let you know which rules no longer apply.
