Rihanna launches fashion collection
Rihanna launches Rihanna for River Island collection during London Fashion Week.
Rihanna is expanding her resume to include fashion designer! The singer launched her new capsule clothing collection this week abroad during London Fashion Week.
According to the Daily Mail, the star has teamed up with British fashion store River Island for the collection, which focuses on everything from flowy maxi dresses to sexy crop tops.
The line marks the singer’s first time dabbling in fashion design. “I've wanted to design my own fashion line for a very long time,” Rihanna told the press. “This is something I've wanted to do ever since I started loving fashion. I got passionate about it and every time I saw something on a rack there would be something I'd want to do to it to change it. So I felt like the only way I could do that would be to design the perfect thing for me. This is my way of doing that -- teaming up with River Island and designing clothes for young women with young, sassy personalities.”
Pieces in the collection include cropped bra tops, button-down skirts, floral shorts and trousers and other flirty designs.
