Trend for Fall: Teddy Bear Pants?

By Kim Anne Jul 19, 2012 5:49PM

Just when we thought we had seen it all (wacky trends galore at recent fashion weeks, especially for men,) we stand corrected.

The latest trend for men; pants made from our favorite childhood friend—the teddy bear.

Designer Jeremy Scott is the man responsible for these random pants, straight off the runway from his Fall 2012/2013 collection for Adidas.

According to the Adidas’ site, the inspiration for these pants (and the rest of his slightly wacky collection) came from “playing with nature and technology while wrapping everything up in a 90s-inspired look.”

In addition to these stuffed animal pants, you’ll also find multicolored animal print track jackets and some other unexplainable combos that you just have to see for yourself.

Tell us: What are your thoughts on these teddy bear pants?

I hope this so call "trend" dies fast, men will never gain respect nor honor for wearing such pants, plus how the heck would you clean these "pants"?? I'm sorry but this is just unacceptable for young and old men, if men want to attract people this is not the way to do it, there is no self respect, nor respect in wearing them, it will make them look like a fool and get mocked for this. Come on people some common sense here!! Also what is the message of these pants? I can't see any reason for this creation to be in existence. Plus we can send much better message to the world in other ways than this. ------This is how I feel and see it.

11 style rules to break right now

You already know wearing white after Labor Day is cool. But menswear is reinventing itself rapidly, leaving some long-held mandates by the wayside, not to mention a bunch of men with a lot of questions. Sure, some style laws are truly inviolable. Showing a quarter-inch of cuff will always be crucial, but with designers and dandies flaunting so many former taboos it's hard to tell what's in play these days. So we thought we'd take this opportunity to let you know which rules no longer apply.

It’s time for bridal beauty to loosen up. Hair doesn’t have to be tightly wound, makeup perfectly contoured, and nails French manicured (on this last point, really, please don’t). You can, in fact, look gorgeously and timelessly cool at your wedding. Here’s how.
