I love how a lot of you are hollering about Kate Middleton's $169 jeans but didn't bat an eye lash at Michelle Obama's $6,800 jacket. Not only is the media biased but seems like a lot of the posters on here are also. I think Kate is fantastic and is doing a lot of good things with her new position. I think the Royals should be very proud of her.
Sorry, $169 for a pair of jeans? I, personally, can not comprehend spending that much for jeans (or a purse or shoes, for that matter). You don't need to spend a lot to look good. I admire Duchess Kate and her style - it's classic. She'd look great in anything :o) !! Having a little extra cash doesn't hurt either. I was raised by depression era parents and you made money go a loooooong way. Hard to break the frugality even at my age. However, I did just "bust" loose for a new Bali bra and paid $24.95 for it. For me - THAT was extravagant.
For gosh sakes, she's the princesss of whatever, did you really think she would be wearing a pair of jeans from Walmart or Kmart! It's her money albeit maybe paid for by the British taxes but it's her business. Me, no I wouldn't pay that much for a pair of jeans cause I don't
need to. I mean you won't see me at the Olympics or at the Queen's Jubilee dressed all in red. If you got it, flaunt it. If you're poor you don't deserve what she paid for for those jeans just because you're poor but I imagine she's contributed to a lot of good causes. Don't judge lest you be judged by your own judgement.
