Reflecting the bright flashes of a thousand paparazzi, silvery frocks are having their moment on the red carpet. They’re being rocked by trend savvy celebs Olivia Munn, Helen Hunt, Whitney Port, and, in the pic here – Halle Berry wears the heck out of a Dolce & Gabbana metallic lace dress, Brooklyn Decker skews casual in Michael Kors separates, and Heidi Klum accessorizes her glittery number with a vibrant red manicure.

You’d think that silver might not be the most flattering shade, but take a hue cue from these celebs and choose looks with a good dollop of texture, like intricate lace fabrics or embossed patterns. This adds depth to the white-hot color and creates a mesmerizing gleam that skews less disco and more demure.
