Did two A-list celebs wear the same gown on Oscar night?
We saw a lot of ravishing gowns on the red carpet during Sunday night’s Academy Awards, but there was something in particular that left us doing a double take. Was there two of the same dress on the same night (cue gasping noise here)?

According to People.com, both Hilary Swank and Sally Field wore incredibly similar dresses by Valentino on Sunday night (one to the Oscars actual awards show and one to the Vanity Fair Oscars party), leaving many wondering if they were actually wearing the same exact dress.

But People.com got all the juicy details, coming to the determination that the dresses were not identical, just very (umm, very) similar.
Field wore a “glamorous red Valentino” with long sleeves to the Oscars, featuring ruffles along the skirt, while Swank also wore a red Valentino with long sleeves, with a barely noticeable difference of a sheer lace skirt instead of rufles. Also, the site noted that both ladies’ long-sleeved bodices featured “slightly different ruching.”

We’re at the tail end of a jam-packed awards season, with the grand finale—the Oscars, duh—just a few days away.
