Jennifer Lopez's New Friend: A $2.1 Million Ring

By Kim Anne Apr 6, 2012 7:54PM

Jenny from the block made yet another fashion statement this week on Wednesday’s episode of American Idol, where she distracted us all with a new sparkler.

The star was showing off a yellow-diamond ring from Cora Jewelers, and it wasn’t cheap.

According to People.com, the 50.40 carat gem, accented in 18-karat yellow gold with ebony wood, comes with a price tag of $2.1 million.

But lucky for the rest of the world, you don’t have to be a celeb to score this gem (although clearly you do have to be loaded)—it will soon be available for purchase on the jeweler’s site.

Tell us: What do you think of Jennifer Lopez’s new bling?

Size of ring doesn't make your life happy or complete, you do... I am never impressed by items, only the person and qualities that make that person.

I'll bet she doesn't own the ring. She is a paid celebrity spokesperson. She gets paid to wear the ring at a pre-planned event. She returns the ring to the jewelers representative and gets paid for the promotion of their product. Almost all of the jewelry you see at celebrity events such as the Academy awards is loaned for the evening by a jewelry company to promote their line of products. Things in the $10-50 thousand range might be given to the celebrity to pay them for the promotion, but a $2.1 million ring is way outside the value range of even J.Lo.

2.1 milllion for a stupid ring? gold or not, of what it is made of? Your own liver? It use to be Leonardo DaVinci's? no ring is valued for that money whatsoever! And if she really paid that amount for it, she shows how stupis she is....

After 2 college degrees and working my tail off, the end result is: I can't pay my mortgage and she is flaunting a 2 million dollar ring. Nice!

Maybe she can show off her 2.1 MM ring while she's driving in her 18 thousand dollar Fiat.
