Seattle has to be one of the cities with the ugliest people. Most of the people in Seattle aren't locals either. Its not a shock to see that places with warmer climates get prettier folk.

It's amusing that so many people are fiercely attacking the integrity of this article, as it is clearly a lighthearted overview portraying the results of a POLL taken by Travel & Leisure from its readers. (NOT a scholarly journal...take it easy, folks..) A little mindless fluff doesn't hurt anybody every now and then. Yes, beauty is a matter of perception, and also population size  would need to be implemented in  any effort to really compute "most attractive".

My superficial input is as follows for the cities I have spent considerable time in, and applies more to the female population: L.A:  Most Artificially Beautiful Denver: Most Naturally Beautiful (and Athletic) New York: Most Uniquely Beautiful (think...supermodels) Miami: Most exotic beauties Charleston, SC: Highest ratio of very attractive, put together and well-kept  for population size

And most attractive men? Denver.

Beauty is on the inside anything after is an added bonus.  Some of the cities noted are probably due to having cosmetic surgeons.  For beauty these days come after a lot of surgery.  Nothing natural about them.

Like any of your insipid stories actually have a grain of truth in them. Please stop it with this drivel. It really doesn't matter.
