Do or Don't: Orange Eyeshadow (Yep, I Said ORANGE! Emmy Rossum Dared To Wear It ... )

When Beth posted about Emmy Rossum's lovely ponytail, blog commenter amoscari noted something else about the pretty starlet's look: "The hair looks nice but can we talk about her eyeshadow? It's ORANGE! Whaaat is up with that?"

Yes, it's true: Emmy did choose an unusual light-orange eyeshadow color for this pre-Oscars party.

A closer look:
It's not neon orange, but it's still a daring and unusual choice. Here's what Emmy's makeup artist, Amy Nadine, had to say about the look: "Emmy picked a gorgeous buttercup yellow Oliver Tolentino '50's-silhouette party dress that was made out of pineapple and hemp fibers for the Global Green Oscar Party, so I wanted to use Tarte, as it's my favorite green makeup line. Inspired by the sweetness of the dress's color and form, I chose a color palette of sherbets and bubble gum, perfectly suited for spring."

To get this wash of apricot eye color, she swept on the sienna color from Tarte's Femme Naturale Eyeshadow Palette all over Emmy's lids, followed by a soft petal pink in the crease.
