The amazing $50 Zara shoes Michelle Obama wears
The FLOTUS paired her ankle strap heels with a patterned Zero Maria Cornejo dress.

There are many reasons why I love Michelle Obama. I won't bore you with all of them, but since this is a fashion blog, I'll say that two of the top ones are because she's not afraid to shop her closet or to purchase items from mass retailers. How economical! So unsurprisingly, when I spotted her in these $49.90 Zara shoes I did a little shimmy in delight.

The FLOTUS paired her ankle strap heels with a patterned Zero Maria Cornejo dress and her signature Alaia belt. The shoes are the perfect icing on this outfit-cake and here's why: They look far more expensive than what they actually cost and are incredibly versatile. They can easily be dressed up (as seen here) or down with jeans. Megan and I love them so much that we both got them in purple and might buy another color, too!
