Cool It: "Keep a tube of aloe vera gel in the freezer. Let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes then squeeze out a few cool, icy drops onto your fingers and massage your under-eye area gently in both directions. The aloe acts as an anti-inflammatory and the massage helps reduce morning swelling." -- Dr. David Colbert, founder of New York Dermatology

Do The Tea Trick: "Apply cold compresses using soaked, chilled tea bags, which will help shrink blood vessels fast." -- Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi, Co-director of the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery in Washington, DC

Try Spooning: "Soak a teaspoon in ice water and nestle the back of the spoon on puffy lower lids with a little pressure -- the cold will decrease the puffiness." -- Dr. Amy Wechsler, New York City dermatologist

Do A Milk Soak: "Under-eye puffiness is usually worse in the mornings, so as soon as you wake up, before doing anything else, hold a cold washcloth over your eyes. This helps shrink the tissues. For an all-natural remedy, soak a cotton ball in cold (unsweetened) soymilk, squeeze out the excess, and hold the damp cotton ball to your puffy eyes. Soymilk contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredients, and doesn't contain any preservatives or other chemicals that may irritate your skin." -- Dr. Jessica Wu, Los Angeles dermatologist and author of Feed Your Face.

Roll With It: "Try an under-eye roller treatment like Chantecaille Nano Gold Energizing Eye Serum or Aveeno Smart Essentials Anti-Fatigue Eye Treatment. Both of these contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredients to strengthen the under-eye skin, and are delivered with a cool metal roller ball to further shrink swollen tissues." -- Dr. Wu

Go Easy On Salt: "I tell my celeb patients who have a late night event then have to be on set early in the morning: No salty food starting at dinner the night before, and sleep on an extra pillow to minimize water retention and fluid build-up." -- Dr. Wu

To Minimize Dark Circles

Seek Out Vitamin C: "Look for an eye cream with ascorbyl glucoside, a potent vitamin C derivative that lightens dark circles and reverses aging dyspigmentation. Also, if you have volume loss under the eyes, light can get trapped in the folds and give the impression of shadows. In the case, try a filler like Restylane to smooth out the skin." -- Dr. Colbert

Strengthen With Retinol: "Dark circles can be caused by the under-eye skin getting thin over time, so the underlying muscle is visible. I often prescribe Renova to build collagen and help thicken the skin around the eyes. If you have sensitive skin, start with an over the counter retinol-containing product." -- Dr. Wu

Sleep More, Rub Less: "It's important to get enough sleep which is a major contributor to under-eye circles. Also, if you suffer from seasonal allergies, take your antihistamine medication everyday to minimize circles caused by rubbing your eyes. These are two easy steps that people often forget about." -- Dr. Tanzi

To Lift the Eyes

Previous Slide To Lift the Eyes Next Slide

Go With The Light: "Fraxel laser resurfacing treatments under the eyes combined with Restylane filler can great rejuvenate the eyes by firming and plumping delicate skin. Small amounts of Botox under the eyes can help make them look fuller, too." -- Dr. Colbert

Don't Let It Sink In: "My favorite is a combination treatment of Ultherapy ultrasound treatment to stimulate collagen for lift and a little Restylane filler to replace volume to reduce the 'sunken' aged look. The two work beautifully together for very natural results." -- Dr. Tanzi

Fight The Sagging: "It's tough to reduce sagging without surgery but a combo of Thermage, to tighten the skin and increase collagen and elastin, plus Sculptra injected deep in the dermis to activate fibroblasts to make collagen, does work." -- Dr. Wechsler

Target Key Spots: "There's a muscle under the tail of the eyebrow that pulls the brow down, so a tiny drop of Botox, placed very precisely, helps pop up the brow and give you more of an arch in a few days. I also like Juvederm under the outer half of the brow. We lose fat in our eyebrows over time, which makes everything sag. Replacing the fat pad with filler helps prop up the brows and lids back where they used to be." -- Dr. Wu

Prevent Crows Feet

Previous Slide Prevent Crows Feet Next Slide

Stick With Good Habits: "Wearing SPF 45 daily to avoid wrinkles, squinting less often by wearing sunglasses or even getting Lasik surgery, and applying Retin-A to build collagen and keep the skin taunt." -- Dr. Colbert

Rethink Your Eye Cream: "Look for a eye cream with dimethicone or hyaluronic acid to temporarily fill the crows feet and never use one that causes redness or irritation for prolonged periods of time since it could be doing more harm than good. Some anti-aging eye formulas are actually too irritating for the delicate skin around the eye, leading to chronic inflammation, which can accelerate the aging process." -- Dr. Tanzi

Stick To It: "Wear Frownies at night. Many of us frown and squint in our sleep as we're working out our stress. I love these adhesive patches because they 'remind' you not to frown unconsciously." -- Dr. Wu
