On Trend: Top Knots
Julianne Hough
Follow these three steps provided by celebrity hairstylist, Gregory Alan from Salon Grafix, and you can create this DIY look at home in minutes!
1. "To begin, apply mouse to your hairline and blow-dry it with a bristle brush, sweeping hair in the direction of the topknot that you will be creating, says Alan. Then, using the brush, pull your hair on top of your head. Secure it with a hair tie."
2. Twist your ponytail into a bun and use bobby pins to secure the ends in place.
3. If you want the updo to look tidy, "apply a smoothing cream to polish any wispy strands." If you're looking for a more unkempt style like the bun Hough sported to the Rock of Ages premiere in L.A., skip the product, and you're done!
