Are you into ombre hair?
"Hell, no! We don't get this. She looks like she didn't make it to the salon for a year."

Fishtail braids: yes or no?
"Don't do this. It probably took three hours, and it looks like a messy lobster tail."
Editor's note: If your girls are out like Blake Lively's are, he's not looking at your hair. We had to tell our manel, "Focus!"

Chip fix
Mask a mangled tip with a glitter French insta-mani. "Choose a dense sparkle polish with a base color (not clear!) for best coverage," says Jin Soon Choi, a manicurist in New York City. Not Halle Berry?

All-out glam or no-makeup casual?
"Save the glam look for when we go somewhere special."
"Generally, no makeup. Too much is always worse than not enough."
'No makeup' doesn't really mean that.
It means makeup he won't notice, says NYC makeup pro Tina Turnbow. Your minimalist kit: BB cream, mascara and lip balm, like CoverGirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm, $7.
