So, you introduce the article with one gender stereotype ("we got some guys and loaded them up with beer,") before then expounding on more gender stereotypes and giving advice based thereon.

There is no standard of beauty, attractiveness, etc. There is no sure fire way to attract "men" because there's no such thing as an abstract group called "men." There are only individuals. Be yourself, and you will attract an individual who likes YOU, rather than the product you create to try to attract "men."

I had a pixie cut for over a year and my man loved it! He always wants me to cut it short again, and I know one of my male friends likes women with short hair too. Sounds like this "manel" was full of super-shallow, stereotypical douches. Women- do whatever makes YOU feel beautiful and confident and men won't care! They will just see a woman who is happy and confident, and that is what they will be attracted to! My boyfriend didn't like women with nose rings until he met me and he thinks I totally rock it and that it is super cute. Don't listen to the crap in this article!

Dont beleive it ladies,  they grab two guys from the mail room and tell you we all think the same way,  sounds like these guys like what they (and "redbundy13") have been trained to like:  long blond hair, giant ta-ta's,  and a 17 inch waistline (oh, and in a bikini of course).  It's more about confidence..  these girls look good because they feel good about how they look.  Short hair can look outstanding and sexy, straight, slick hair can be phenomenal, natural hair color or highlights almost always look good (in my opinion of course),  the one thing the 'panel' did get right is makeup, less is usually better.  Personally its about uniqueness to me...  and lets face it,  when is the last time women listened to us guys about style (or most anything else) anyway?

As a "guy" (who's name happens to be Guy), this article is complete trash.  The article is really nothing more than an advertisement for makeup products -- are you girls honestly that naive?

Out of the 15 slides, there were only 3 that had valid responses from the "man panel".  Mostly, those "man panel" responses were correct, but they're showing the hair styles on famous ("HOT") women -- who cares what their hair looks like?!  THEY'RE HOT WOMEN, and can wear their hair any way they want to and can STILL be hot!

If a girl wants to know the truth, don't read these glorified advertisements -- just ask any guy -- we're almost always "brutally honest" with our responses...  (Just don't hold that TRUTH against us later!)

This is a bunch of sticklers a few bi+chy chicks at MSN Living are annoyed by and think if they stick it in a slideshow with some wishfully witty captions, it will make it so.

Not only did you pry the men with beer before judging but it appears you found them living in a neanderthal culture. Not all men prefer long hair nor are they threatened by short. Few women can pull off wearing their hair long unless it is professionally styled & not many can afford that. More often than not long hair tends to be stringy, flat & simply not attractive. Sorry ladies I might not be referring to you so take a close look in the mirror before crucifying me. On the other hand short hair is much easier to take care of & looks good on a woman of any age.

What a waste of time to read this article. Im so glad (now that Im 30) I am very secure in how I look (not meeting the standards of this man panel at all). I keep my hair short because it looks healthier short and I dont look a thing like Halle Berry, but after 3 kids and 10 years of marriage, my husband still looks at me like Im the hottest thing he's ever seen. No matter what you look like, confidence is key.

I know there are a few guys - few - for whom it matters as much what's on the inside as the outside, but not many. I quit dating when I was 42 because I started losing my hair. Not enough to have to wear a wig, but you can see bald spots. Since hair is so important to men, I knew I didn't stand a chance. And every time I read an article like this, and read the posts, I know I made the right choice, self-preservation-wise. Getting stared at for more thinninghair doesn't hurt as much when you honestly do not care what men think of you.

I wear my hair to please my man. No I'm not living in a cave. I'm a feminist, but I'm not extreme. He loves my hair long, straight, bangs, and tossled like I just rolled out of bed. (That's for when I'm about to roll into bed...) Otherwise I wear it sleek and straight. I love my long hair and so does he, and for the most part so do all my guy friends. Many time I've considered cutting it and they ALL say NO!!!

In general, guys hate short hair on girls. Nothing says "I just don't care anymore" like the soccer mom haircut. Your friends tell you "it's cute" and "I'm jealous you can pull that off" but you know they're lying to you. Because you lie to them.

Wow...just...wow. Some of the men's insistance in these posts that women should have long hair - regardless of how it looks - is crossing into obsession territory. Seriously, guys ( and by guys I mean "Smeado) we get it, your Mommy had long hair and you've got issues. Either that or you're building the perfect woman with spare body parts and you're having trouble finding a victim who uses conditioner. Major ewww factor, dude.

And thanks for proving my point.  When I go out, I have to wear wigs and hairpieces. I have guys hit on me, ask for my number, if they're friends of friends they try to look me up on social networking sites, but it all comes down to the same thing - they quickly lose interest oncethey see a picture of me without my fake hair. And when I wear my hair natural, without my hair pieces, guys don't even look at me. My friend Kim was so hurt and humilated when she tried to date after she had breast cancer - she didn't go out for two years until her hair grew back.

SO, tell me, how many of you would pick up a "Playboy"  if the models were "natural"? Yeah, that's what I thought. ;-)

It would help if guys knew what they were talking about. In my 20's I had a boyfriend who loved the "natural" look. Well, I started going out sans make-up. After a week or two who started making little remarks about my appearance and how I wasn't "trying" anymore. Turns out, it was make-up base he was talking about. He still wanted the black-smudged smokey bedroom eyes.  Oh, and the beach-waves just rolled out of bed look? There's nothing "natural" about that unless you are blessed with thick hair with lots of body, but not too much curl.

Hair needs to be shoulder length or longer, unless your like Halle Berry. I personally prefer a woman with little or no make up, if you look like you smeared pancake batter on your face or are part of a circus, stay away. Note to women with small breasts, big breasts don't make you sexy, sensuality makes you sexy! But hey, I'm just a fat old sober guy what the hell do I know, HA.

Smeado - you just assumed I'm fat? Or I don't care? Wow, that speaks volumes about YOU. I maintain my hair at chin length. Sorry, but anything longer than that and it looks thin and straggly, like I didn't bother to wash or style it. I'm also a size 6, I work out 90 mins a day, 30 min pilates and weight  training, 60 minutes cardio. As friendly and fun and smart and outgoing and fit and successful as I am, I did a speed dating night and all of the guys commented on my hair - or lack thereof. That told me all I needed to know. Ironically two of the guys I spoke with were bald! I change what I can and I consider myself a work in progress, always growing and changing, trying new things. But I can't make my hair grow back, and I'm not going to by humiliated by it.
