Style Hacker: How to Tie a Necktie
Step 1
Pop your babe's collar and drape the tie around his neck to make an X, with the wider side on top. Make sure the wider side is significantly longer than the narrow one. The variation in lengths depends on the length of his torso, so unfortunately, you may need to play with the lengths until you get the perfect knot!

Step 2
Loop the longer side back up and over the top of the X.

Step 3
Wrap that front piece around the back of the knot.

Step 4
Pull the longer piece over the front of the knot in order to hide the ugly folds.
Step 6
Then, tuck the front piece through the fabric knot you created to hide the ugly folds.
Step 8
Hold the shorter piece (now in back) in place and slide the knot up to his neck.
Step 9
Tighten around his neck until the knot is straight and the tie is the proper length. (Note: The tie should hit right at the top of his belt buckle.)
