Got a Style Emergency While at Work? Fashion Fix-Its Around the Office
Post-it Notes
Food in your teeth before a big meeting? Post-it notes can do the trick. Use the points and edges! You can also use them to clean underneath your nails or to get rid of that stray lipstick that seems to have smudged outside the lines.

Double-Sided Tape
Whether it's a necklace that just won't stay in place, a torn piece of apparel, a strapless number that keeps sliding down or even that makeup you need to get off ASAP, double-sided tape does the trick.

Toilet Seat Covers
Okay, so it's definitely not glamorous, but when you're in a bind, who cares?! Blotting papers and toilet seat covers are made of similar materials. If you're looking a little oily and forgot your powder or blotting papers at home, grab a toilet seat cover and run into the stall for a quick fix. We promise we won't tell anyone.

Paper Clips
They're all over your office and can be great for more than just those stacks of paper you have on your desk. You never know when you're going to need to fix a strap, fasten a missing button or clip together a torn hem. These little guys can even pin back your hair or de-clump that mascara!

Stapler
For that loose hem, grab the stapler. Another trick: If you staple a dark clothing item, grab a Sharpie to color the metal black so that it doesn't show!

Matchbook
Did you know that the matchbook you picked up during last night's happy hour can double as an emery board for that nail that needs filing?
Wite-Out
When you have a big meeting -- and unkempt nails -- simply use Wite-Out to line the tips of your nails for a quick DIY French mani. It'll look just as good and will dry in no time!

Erasers
Lose an earring back? No worries. Stick a piece of your eraser in its place (or a cork...champagne, anyone?) and it'll keep your earring in place all day long.

Pens
Yeah, they work as writing utensils, but they also are a great hair accessory when you've forgotten your ponytail holder. Added bonus: They won't ruin your hair like a rubber band will. Twist your hair into a bun and secure it with the writing utensil of your choice. (We found that smooth ones work best!)

Tape
Lint just seemed to follow you this morning. Simply roll up a piece of tape and rub it over your clothes to get rid of whatever's sticking. Tape can also multitask as a quick fix for pant hems and straps, and can even prevent a quick peep show from happening in front of your coworkers. Plus, you can use it as a makeup remover for that smudged eyeliner that once looked smoky and now seems more "morning after."
