From don’t to do: Ke$ha
The pink lady dress - Don't
The star once told Glamour she's “not afraid of pushing boundaries,” and in 2010, left, she did just that…with her hem. “Showing a lotta leg is a Ke$ha signature,” says Glamour fashion writer Lauren Bernstein. “But that T-shirt is one inch away from X-rated territory!”

In contrast, at last year's AMAs, Ke$ha's lace dress “showed her long legs tastefully.”

The black-tie look - Don't
Bernstein admits, “I'm all about moody artists expressing their dark and twisty originality through fashion.” But in 2010, left, Ke$ha's look was too copycat. “I'm getting a Cher-at-the-1986-Oscars vibe,” Bernstein says.

This April, in a flared-leg Gemy Maalouf jumpsuit, left, Ke$ha was “a red-carpet standout.” Iconic, original, and polished.

The glittery getup - Don't
Let's be real: “Ke$ha is never gonna give up her beloved bedazzling,” says Bernstein. “But she's learning to inject it in small doses.”

So instead of wearing a studded neon (er, double neon—green and yellow!) bodysuit, she's now choosing a sophisticated main piece (an O'2nd floral short suit) and blinged-out sunnies. Great fix!
You be a Do! Rocking a mini? Try it with nude heels, says Bernstein.
