Coolest fall handbag trends
Shades of gray
When it comes to handbag trends, this season’s hit upon every point of the fashion spectrum. Bags often tend to fall in line with what’s happening on the ready to wear side, so it is no surprise that some of our favorite styles for fall are embellished, sport menswear fabrics, or come in shades of gray.
On the shape front, it seems the runways suffered from a split personality: On one end there were the structured lady bags (the perfect way to show you mean business at the office) and on the other were foldover clutches (the newest iteration of the casual-meets-cool aesthetic). We’ll take one of each, please.
One of the strongest handbag trends was minimalism. Despite a season of embellishment and look-at-me accouterments, the best bags for fall are the ones that earn attention for well-craft design and nothing more. Blending in may just be the best way to stand out.
From a sleek zip pouch from Michael Kors in an eye-catching shade of blue to a python top handle tote from Salvatore Ferragamo, we’re shopped out our favorite handbags for fall in the slideshow above. — Megan Hayes (@_mshayes)
