'Catfishing' has become a more mainstream expression amid the recent Manti Te'o debacle. In the context of romance, it's essentially someone who creates and uses a false online identity to meet people.
With so many dating sites popping up, meeting someone online is the new normal. And if dating isn't hard enough, singles now have to consider whether the person they've fallen in love with is real. Oftentimes, they're not. Here are five awful online dating catfish stories.
