And the best city for dating is ....

Men's Health ranks the best places for dating and relationships.

By Mens Health Magazine Feb 8, 2013 5:23PM

If you live in Atlanta and your name is Ted Turner, you don't need help finding a girlfriend—or four, the number Turner was juggling last May. Alas, Atlanta singles without billions aren't so lucky.

"The city is very spread out," said Janet Page, Ph.D., a relationship therapist in Atlanta. "It can be hard to break into the social scene."

This may be why Hotlanta is a hotbed of online dating.

I don't get this article.  The writeup basically says "Atlanta sucks because it is spread out and thus is a hotbed for ONLINE dating", then Atlanta is #1 on the list.

So does that mean this article is mistitled and should instead be couched as Best Cities for "Online Dating"?

What's this supposed to be based on?  They just invent crap.  Yah, uh Omaha is a little better than Kansas City, cuz uhhh we randomly decided that, based on one anecdote we heard errr something.

Seattle????  You have got to be kidding !!!

Atlanta? Yeah if you're gay. Lived there for five years and seen more homosexuals than straight people. Not saying anything wrong with homosexuals, just not a good place for heterosexual dating.

Also, best cities for dating varies hugely depending on whether you are male of female (and male/female ratios).  As a straight male, who's lived in many big cities, I can say without doubt that Washington DC is good, San Francisco stinks, New York is decent, etc.

The problem is how dio you meet each other in a large metroplex? Match dot com has a lot of strange people on it as do the other dating sitres.

This article to total bull crap.  Atlanta is packed with closet lesbians.  I investigated this but going as a man on lots of lesban sites.  The city is so spread out it is next to impossible to meet women.  This does not even include the bi females here.  As a man this article total bull.  This does not even the loads of gay men here.  This is being used to try to trick the population to pack into the large cities and leave healthy areas.
