A school that teaches wives to be mistresses

Would you take marriage advice from a former mistress? We're skeptical.

Sarah Symonds is famous for having a seven-year affair with Hell's Kitchen star Gordon Ramsay. She's now set up a school for ladies who want to redirect their husband's roving eye.

"Men are simple," 43-year-old Symonds tells the Daily Mail. "It's Eat. Sleep. Fornicate."

She's dubbed this the "ESF rule." If this is Lesson No. 1, the rest should be interesting.

Symonds appeared on the Canadian show "The Mistress," which helps mistresses leave adulterous relationships. She says she's turned a new leaf and now only dates single men. But she also wants to help married women keep their husbands from cheating — hence, "Wife School."

"[After 'The Mistress,'] I had so many wives contacting me for advice," Symonds says of why she founded the school. 'The school is geared toward making today’s marriages more successful and to ultimately lessen the divorce rates and the subsequent demise to our society’s structure. Any marriage or committed relationship needs daily maintenance and nurturing — people just don't seem to realize that."

Essentially, Symonds helps women understand why men cheat, giving them advice on how to make sure their husbands are fully satisfied at home. "Don't allow space in your marriage for other women to walk into," she says. It's tough to take marriage advice from a former "other woman," but Symonds does make one decent point:

"If more people treated their marriage as they do their job, more marriages would last the lifetime they are supposed to. "

Her top tip? Do more in the bedroom than in the kitchen. She adds that women should stay up late at night to ask about their husband's day.

"I believe that the whole Sisterhood has to bond together to beat these cheats right out of the sheets," she says. "I am here to wake other women up and teach them not to be a mousewife."

If you find it hard to jump on board, you're not alone. The school's very foundation seems to underestimate men. Personally, we think male complexities go beyond the ESF rule.

Where is the responsibility that men are supposed to take in this equation? Please, tell me because I don't see it there. And I say this as a woman whose husband had a 3-year affair while I was going through cancer surgery, and 2 years of chemotherapy and radiation. I'm sorry, but while I'm puking my guts out from chemo is not the time for me to ply my "wifely" duties. It is, however, the time for him to step up and be a husband.This woman is full of **** and only out to make money.

There are certain situations that can keep a couple from being able to be intimate. In my house (9 people), it is very hard to find any peace and quiet to where it lasts longer than a 5 minute quicky once every 3 months....but even way before that....it was always..."You missed your shot last night."...her hint that she wanted some....laying in bed...saying "I shaved".....this after just saying "God, I don't feel good."..or "my belly has been upset all day"..which signal was I supposed to take?....and for once in your freaking life...initiate the intimacy....ever watched the movie Click?...I realllllyyy don't want to give you a backrub EVERY time you want to put out......I have never believed in cheating...BUT...like I said...once every 3 months is ridiculous....I got laid 10x more before I committed to her...and got rejected a helluva lot less

Tis true! women get married and then before the first year is out , ita already a chore to have sex. Their favorite line, and I know every man has heard it many times, thats all you ever think about! Thats true when you get it once or twice a month!! if thats all a wife can muster she deserves to be cheated on. If you don't love and want to be loved by your man, why did you marry him! Not too mention as soon as they have the ring on, all of a sudden they start letting themselves go , gaining weight losing muscle tone, which will put them in a lazy depressed state anyway, they don't feel good about themselves so they just give up and become shrews!!!! Get a clue ladies Ms. Symunds is correct. Sex 3 to 5 times a week will keep any man at home and only with you, and don't forget to go to the gym and stay fit, with him too if he needs it. Go together!!!!
