Little Gestures She Wishes You'd Do

We asked our Facebook fans about the tiny things their spouses could do that would have a big impact. Leave this open on a screen where he just might accidentally stumble upon it.

Blow kisses

"Yesterday, I asked my husband if he would have come by my office to pick up my car and put gas in it. He said that he would have, and it really made me wish I had called and asked! He also blows me kisses all the time. It's our code for 'I love you.' We've been doing it for the 10 years of our marriage." Lori B.

"We met on Twitter one year ago and now do some goofy little things to show our love for each other. My husband's little Twitter gestures now include sending out a #showsomelove or #luvofmylife tweet to our more than 2,000 followers. He also snaps and posts impromptu pics on Instagram; however, we've made it a note that all impromptu pics of me must be okay'ed before being uploaded!" Christian R.O.

Surprise me with flowers

"I wish he would surprise me more to show me that he thinks about me. When I go to the store, I get him things like new socks if he needs them or even something like a Kit Kat just to make him smile. He never does that for me. I wish he would just think of me for once. I never get anything like flowers unless it's a holiday." Sara G.

Hit the hamper

"I just wish he would put his dirty clothes in the hamper that I bought just for his clothes. It's always on the side; even if the hamper is empty! I'd have less work if he just put his clothes in the hamper! Sure I can do it myself, but the point is to make my workload seem smaller! There is a place for everything - even keys, batteries, and nail clippers, but somehow we are always looking for them! He just won't put them back." Siomara D.V.

Do the dishes

"We have been married for almost 10 years and have two beautiful little girls, but a few nights ago, my husband did the tiniest, yet most romantic thing and I haven't stopped smiling since. As I was washing the dishes after the kids went to bed, he went to the fridge and poured me a glass of my favorite wine. He brought it over to me, gave me a kiss, took the soapy sponge out of my hands, and told me to go sit down. He finished the dishes, curled up next to me on the couch and whispered in my ear about how he's the luckiest man in the world. I've been smiling about that memory for days!!" Yvonne M.

Plan a picnic

"My husband once surprised me with a necklace from Tiffany's, and the only thought that came into my mind was how much money it cost. I wish we would randomly dance with me - even when no music is playing, take me out on a picnic, or take a break from his phone. I want him to surprise me with something that doesn't cost a lot on any given day so I don't have to worry about balancing the checkbook afterward." Tawnee M.

It's great when someone does something nice, but so many women feel entitled to be treated like queens even if they treat their husband like garbage.  A relationship is not one person doing nice things for someone else, it's two people who care about each other and do things for each other.

Before we got married, my wife used to be nice, soft, and sweet, it was a pleasure to do those little things for her.  Shortly after we got married, the wicked witch from the west came through the window, kidnapped my bride and left me with one of the witche's clone!

I still do most of the house work like laundry, vacuuming.  Because if I don't, my two young daughters will be wearing dirty clothes to school and the house will be a disaster area!   But, I let most of those little things go because I don't see the point.  Now, anything I touch will become my duty.

You see, Redbook, you don't even know why husbands don't do things like that any more!  Want a hint, just keep reading some of the posts here, maybe you'll learn something!

Here is a comment that both husbands and wives can use.  After you get married, the wife expects the husband to change, but he won't.  The husband does not want the wife to change, but she will.

To the wives: That means if your husband likes to fish, golf, watch football before the wedding, he still likes to do the same things after the wedding.  If you try to take most of his hobbies away, you are looking for troubles.

To the husbands: Your wives will change, just mentally get ready.  How you are going to handle all these changes that for sure will stress you out is entirely up to you.  Good luck and peace be with you!

So, men are very predictable, what you see now is what you will get after the wedding.  The women are also predictable in a different way.  What you see now for sure WILL NOT be what you get after the wedding.

Doesn't it seem like these types of articles are always written for women.  Like little things she wishes you would do, or how to make your man happy.  Whenever you actually hear a man talking about what they want its always the same, food, peace, and quiet.  A girls list is always at least 10 long and never the same.

Women are spoiled rotten.  They want everything.  Equality.  Presents.  Easy living.  The guy can be the only one with outside jobs and she will want him to do housework too..because (sigh) ..."A womans work is never done"....turn off Oprah and maybe it will.

They are definitly spoiled...but mainly because we men love to spoil them.  I mean. come on , they are soft and make funny noises when we play with them.

I guess I am one of the lucky women in this world to have an amazing man. We just got married March 30, 2012. My husband has always helped me with the laundry, dishes, kids homework, etc. This is his first marriage and my 2nd. I know that I Iearned from the first time never take my husband for granted. He may never have been married before but he has had some pretty crappy relationships so he doesn't take me for granted. As a married couple we know that in the end when our children grow up and make their own lives that it will be just the 2 of us. He is my best friend and I vowed to never take him for granted. I have seen marriages fall apart because of one partner expecting more than they are willing to give (my first marriage). I am thankful everyday for the wonderful relationship my husband and I have. Good luck to both the men and women getting married

My guy and I have been together for 8 years now HALLOWEEN is our annivesery. He does do some of these things because I STOPPED doing them. I stopped cooking every single night of the week for 1 reason ONLY no one was eating what I made (Him or our 2 children). He does grab me once in a while but I'll be honest I am not a touchy feely type of person so I prefer it NOT be done. What REALLY turns me on and he is WELL rewarded for it is when he cleans the toliet. Sunday he cleaned the bathroom and Sunday night was a VERY sexy night but in the end I was still ready to keep going but alas he could not, so I thought we would reprise the night on Monday but he fell asleep by 8pm I was left with Magic Mike. So all you guys who say I want more sexy nights "really?" be careful what you wish for you might get it in abundance
