wats funny about the below comments is...girls...they are MEN...everything we hate in life starts with them...MENstrual cramps..MENopause...MENingitis..fact is men will always be a pain in your ****...and it is veeryy unlikely you'll find this "romantic" guy ur lookin for..they dont think that way..so find one u can stand at least five says a week and be happy with that

Keep in mind that you should never give your mate a compliment unless it's heartfelt. Almost anyone can spot a phony compliment. I've always lived by the words "Say what you mean, and mean what you say, but if you don't have something positive to say, then say nothing" and I've always had good relationships. If you both work, then you shouldn't have to thank your mate for doing something that they should already be doing in a 50/50 partnership. You should, most definitely, be thanking your mate if they're picking up the slack for you!

To all those who are dismissing these statements: you're 100% wrong. As Fleetwood Mac said, "tell me lies; tell me sweet little lies."

If you don't find his penis perfect, you're with the wrong guy. If you do, why wouldn't you say so? I wouldn't say it in those words, but letting him know he's pleasing you is really important.

My wife telling me that I have a good body is one of the things that keeps me working out four times a week. My wife gave me a warm oil massage last night after sex because my lower back has been hurting for the past two weeks. And yes, I've given her more than my share for warm oil massages -- more than she's given me.

You want us to tell you you're pretty or that your butt isn't fat; you don't think we need to hear that you value us as well? Trust me, we ALL need a little affirmation from time to time. Studies have shown that seeking out such affirmations are a leading cause of affairs -- so mock this stuff at your own risk

"Your penis is perfect" is a good one. My new girlfriend has actually said this to me (or something close) Many men have size concerns; it's actually one of the few things we're insecure about. We can have a 42 inch waist and feel like the sexiest guy in the room, but the average endowed guy is often concerned about whether he's pleasing you with his average endowment. But don't say it just to say it; only say it if it's working for you.

"You're so strong" goes to our views of ourselves as masculine creatures.

"You're so clever (smart)" is one I was surprised not to see on the list.

gooky - if you're female, ask your bf & male friends how they would like hearing these lines. you'll see that they should come to your mind. and think about how you like being appreciated & admired. do unto others.

except for the one 'thank you for helping with the kids'. if they're his kids, he can't 'help' and he can't babysit. it's his job to participate in their care & their lives.

Why is it in the average American home the woman:

Holds down a challenging job/career

and

Expected to take care of the children

Have total responsiblity for budgeting and paying bills

And maintenance cleaning

So where's the artical where men ask what

We women would like to hear?

Life is a two way street to function properly.

Otherwise, you're on a lonely one way trip to a dead end street.
