10 things he's thinking about Valentine's Day

Maybe you're the type who lives for satin-covered boxes of chocolate, long-stemmed roses and pink hearts. And maybe you think only women are giving a single thought to Valentine's Day while the guys spend February 14 in ignorant bliss. Well, you'd be wrong on that one. Read on to find out what's on their minds.

Do these guys really think the point of Valentine's day is to not celebrate love the other days of the years? Someone is missing the point

I'm starting to get annoyed of men (and some women) complaining about men being put on the spot or the consumerism meant to trap men in this holiday. Are not all holidays about consumerism? Why all the complaining about having to spend time with your significant other for this holiday alone? If you don't want to do Valentine's day, then you should have the same feelings about Christmas, Thanksgiving, heck even Super bowl Sunday. All holidays are  about consumerism, all are about contrived, forced "togetherness, love, and emotions". But why does this holiday in particular grate on men's nerves so much?

And the argument about showing love 365 days of the year, talk about great expectations. Why do people always assume people DON'T show their love other days? Let's get real, in reality in between work, kids if you have them, other obligations, sometimes romance just gets set aside. Should it? Maybe not, but it does and it happens and most of the time, we understand because we are there too. Sometimes you show love in different ways, cleaning, cooking, sex, gestures, but on Valentine's Day, you get a chance to do something quirky and fun and a little extra. That's why Valentine's day is fun- it's a holiday for fun. Quit overthinking it.

I agree than women should do more. I was planning on lingerie and sexy time, and all I've ever expected was the excitement of being in love on a day when everyone in the western world is celebrating their love too. Life is too hectic, and this holiday is just about being silly, cheesy, sexy, and fun.

Vday isn't only for the man to show love, women need to quit actin like it's a one way street.. every single day he works his butt off to provide for you and kids if any, and the only damn day you care about is Vday, nothing else all year round matters?!

give the man a break, plan dinner, stay in, just appreciate that you still have him for another day

holidays and expectations, psssh
