In my experience it's never a healthy or good idea to link your personal happiness (or self-worth) to how others perceive you. That just sets you up for more "down" days when and if you realize how superficial everyone really is. Besides, do you really want to carry around the knowledge that you just COULDN'T be happy without looking "sexy" to others?
