A New Use for That Mateless Sock
By Real Simple Magazine Apr 24, 2012 7:18PM
Have a sock whose mate is M.I.A.? Once you’re sure it’s officially gone (and not just hiding in with the sheets and towels), use the remaining sock to help you clean around the house. Simply slip the sock on your hand (and with a little dusting spray) you can clean up your furniture in no time.
Then once you’re done dusting, toss the sock back in with the laundry to be washed and used again.

There are several useful things that a sock can be used for, i.e. washing your car, dusting, scrubbing sinks, etc., waxing your car, waxing floors, waxing wave boards, cover children's hands and arms when outside playing in chilly weather( cut the toes off an use them like leggings, except when they get dirty you can throw them away) etc.

I've longed used my newly-single sports sox as wrist sweatbands.Just cut off the toes to make a tube. Cheaper than the ones the tennis players use, but I'm not so worried about sweat dripping down my arms to my hands as I am sweat getting into my eyes. I just reach up with the back of my hand and don't have to worry about the bug repellant and/or sunscreen on my hands getting into my eyes.
