A lot to 'like'
Photographing your food just got meta with the Social Pops from Zoku ($16.99). This decorating kit from the VIP Award-winning Zoku Pop Maker lets you decorate your frozen creations with your (or your kids') favorite social media images and sayings, like a Facebook "Like" sign and slang phrases like "OMG" and "LOL," perfect for posting to your online profile.
They may look like packing material, but the Poppin' Hot silicone oven mitts ($18) from Fred and Friends promise to keep your hands protected from hot pans. The only downside? You can't really pop this bubble wrap lookalike.
Skateboard- turned kitchenware-maker Epicurean has expanded their cutting board selection with their new Hipster Series ($34.99). You'll be able to cut your locally sourced kale or organic tofu on a board shaped like a bow tie, mustache, whale, and more. The cutting boards are made in the USA, and are NSF-certified and heat-resistant up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Make a face
Cupcakes get extra cute with the Cupcake Decorating Kit's from Wilton. For $5.99, a single kit can create up to 12 tiny characters, with silly eyes, mustaches, monster horns, dinosaur spikes, and more.
Tie one on
Your hostess gift will look as sharp as you do at your next party with Botskis' Bottle Ties ($7.99, amazon.com). The neckties and bowties come in a range of patterns and either light up when pressed or play tunes ranging from "Happy Birthday" to Mozart's 1st Movement.
No need to get down on your hands and knees next time you want to clean the floor or soak up a mess — Evriholders' colorful Footsie Towel ($12.99), out in June, promises to do the work for you. The cloth fits on both feet with Velcro straps and boasts soft footpads to cushion your soles while you work. Just strap it on, slide over the mess, and let the microfiber towel do all the work.
Not just a twinkle
Recreate everyone's favorite cream-filled cake with the Dream-Boat Pan from Chicago Metallic ($14.95 for pan or $19.95 bundled with filling injector), out in August. We can't tell you what kind of sweet treat this pan whips up, but we think the pictures speak for themselves.
What's the peeking out of your mug? Why it's your very own cuddly Manatea ($10)! This adorable tea infuser hugs the rim up your cup with its flippers and can hold enough tea leaves to brew a strong cup or two.
Create your own creature
Little ones can customize their own cute figures with the Chef'n Cake Creature Kit ($39.99, or $7.99 individually). The set comes with four dishwasher-safe silicone molds in silly poses, and a piper to inject batter into the molds or filling into the cakes. With a little icing and decoration, the desserts can be turned into just about anything from monsters to Christmas trees.
Sometimes it's nice to have an extra hand in the kitchen; Zeal's Clip-to-Pan Handy Spoon Rest ($9) has two, ready to hook on the side of your pot and hold on to your spoon or stirrer. The clip is heat resistant up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit and holds your spoon suspended over the pot, so you don't have to worry about dripping on the counter or making a mess. It also doubles as a chip clip.
