Teacher tells kids Santa is phony
Texas kindergarteners are told that Santa is not real.
Kindergarteners in Austin, Texas, may be tugging a bit harder on Santa’s beard this year after a teacher challenged their belief in the mythical Claus.
An after-school instructor at a public elementary school, referred to only as Mrs. Fuller in the Houston Press, bluntly asked the tots, “None of you believe in Santa do you?”
According to one of Mrs. Fuller’s 5-year-old pupils, the teacher then told them that their parents buy all the presents under the Christmas tree. “She said that you should tell us the truth,” the young girl told her parents.

Susan Tietz Gammage, the girl's mother, is distressed about the teacher’s indiscretion, stating that it is not her place to challenge family practices or beliefs. School administrators addressed the issue by providing “tools to deal with the situation” to the offending teacher.More on MSN Living: 10 ways your cat shows you love
