Look-alike dogs cause mixup.
Two Maltese dogs looked so alike that an Alabama groomer accidentally mixed them up and returned them to the wrong owners.
While one of the owners noticed right away that something was wrong, the other didn’t catch it. After nine days, the pets were finally exchanged and are back with the right people.
“Oh, he’s my little prince. He came back home. I’m so happy,” said one of the relieved owners.

O’Neil, an 18-month-old yellow Labrador retriever, passed his last test as a guide dog in training with flying colors. He’s being hailed as a hero for alerting his two trainers to an out-of-control car careening backward down a sidewalk in San Rafael, Calif., on Monday morning.

'He was there one minute and the next he was gone,' owner says.
Sam, an 8-year-old golden retriever, didn’t seem to notice a 250-foot cliff when he decided to chase a rabbit in Devon, England.
Jonathan Minshull and the rest of Sam’s family were ahead of him on the trail, so they didn’t realize what had happened at first.
"He was there one minute and the next he was gone," Minshull said. "At first we thought he'd run into a field which was near the path. We were searching in the field for him. It didn't cross my mind for one second that he might have jumped off a cliff."
Goodall: Treatment of chimps 'must change.'
Animal activists are hailing a move by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to give captive chimpanzees the same protections under the Endangered Species Act as their wild cousins. Currently, chimps in captivity are listed as threatened.
The proposal would make it more difficult to use the animals in medical research, requiring a special permit.
The prehistoric reptile has a moniker fit for a 'Lizard King.'
Scientists have named a newly discovered prehistoric lizard after Jim Morrison, the late rock star from The Doors.
The Barbaturex morrisoni weighed 60 pounds and would grow to up to 6 feet in length.
"I was listening to The Doors quite a bit during the research,” said Jason Head of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. “Some of their musical imagery includes reptiles and ancient places, and Jim Morrison was of course the 'Lizard King,' so it all kind of came together."

"It must have wanted that last chip in the bottom of the bag," Herrin said.
Cancer patient living out his final days in hospice care has a joyous reunion with his pooch.
John Simpson, a Vietnam veteran with pancreatic cancer, moved to hospice to live out his final days, but he had to leave his dog, Mr. Cutie, behind.
Last Sunday, the dog escaped the backyard of Simpson’s home — the day after visiting him in hospice.
"I really think he was looking for John," said Ann Marie Gemmel, the neighbor who has been checking on the dog.
Simpson, who described Mr. Cutie as the “spark of his life,” had one wish: to see his beloved dog again. Luckily, Missy Figueroa found the dog and posted pictures of him to FidoFinder.
